Our approach

Care that honours every chapter

A woman's health needs change profoundly across her lifetime. Our clinic meets you where you are — with evidence-based clinical care, genuine compassion and a team that listens before it prescribes.

01

Reproductive health & prevention

From contraception and STI screening to cervical cancer prevention and breast health, proactive care protects what matters most — starting early and continuing throughout life.

Regular Pap smears, STI screening and breast cancer risk assessments are straightforward but vital. We make these consultations as comfortable and confidential as possible — because routine screening should never be something you put off.

Prevention is the most powerful care we offer.

02

Pregnancy, fertility & beyond

Whether you're planning to start a family, navigating pregnancy or managing the transition to menopause, our care adapts to what your body needs right now.

Pre-conception health assessments and fertility guidance set the best possible foundation. Antenatal and postnatal care continues through your pregnancy journey and beyond. And for women navigating menopause, we offer personalised hormone therapy options and symptom management that go well beyond a one-size-fits-all approach.

With you through every transition.

Frequently asked

Women's health, answered clearly

Common questions our women's health GPs hear from patients across the Gold Coast.

How often do I need a Pap smear?

Under current Australian guidelines, cervical screening (which has replaced the Pap smear) is recommended every five years for women aged 25–74 who have ever been sexually active. We'll let you know when you're due and make the process as comfortable as possible.

What's the best contraceptive option for me?

The right choice depends on your age, health history, lifestyle and future pregnancy plans. We'll take you through the options — from the pill and implant to IUDs and barrier methods — and help you make an informed decision that suits you, not just a protocol.

When should I start thinking about pregnancy planning?

Ideally, three to six months before you start trying. A pre-conception appointment lets us review your health, update vaccinations (like rubella and whooping cough), start folate supplementation and address any conditions that might affect pregnancy — giving your baby the best possible start.

What can be done about menopausal symptoms?

Quite a lot. Hot flushes, sleep disturbance, mood changes and vaginal dryness are all manageable. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is highly effective for many women and is safer than older research suggested. We'll assess your individual situation and discuss all options — including non-hormonal alternatives.

How is my breast cancer risk assessed?

We use a combination of family history, personal history and established risk tools to estimate your individual risk. For most women, this guides the frequency and type of screening recommended. If you're at higher risk, we'll refer you to a specialist breast service for more intensive surveillance.
